Burley sits between Hyde Park and Kirkstall along the LS4 / LS6 border. It's less obviously "student" than Hyde Park — you'll find long-term residents, families and cyclists using the Kirkstall Road cycle route — which is exactly what a lot of third and fourth year groups want after two years in the middle of Hyde Park.

Most of our Burley student houses sit on Kirkstall Lane, Burley Road, Argie Road, Argie Avenue, Norman Street, Beechwood Road and the tight grid of terraces running down to Kirkstall Road. Houses are typically 3 to 5 beds with generous kitchens and yards or small gardens.

You're a 15 to 20 minute walk from the University of Leeds via Cardigan Road, or 5-6 stops on the 33/34/49 buses from Burley Road. Kirkstall Road is a straight cycle in — around 10 minutes on a bike.

The trade-off is pubs and takeaways on your doorstep — Burley has fewer of both than Hyde Park — but you're a short walk from the Hyde Park strip, and Kirkstall itself has Wetherby Whaler, the Kirkstall Bridge Inn and the Abbey Inn.

Rent in Burley is the best value in our portfolio: typically £110 to £140 pppw for a well-kept 3 to 5 bed house — the cheapest of our five areas, and usually £30 pppw under the equivalent house half a mile away in Hyde Park.
